Driving privileges are increased gradually during the new driver’s first two years on the road. The program is a gradual, step-by-step licensing process to help novice (new) drivers get the knowledge and skill needed to safely operate a vehicle. ![]() To get a Newfoundland and Labrador driver’s licence you must complete the Graduated Driver Licensing Program (some exceptions may apply).
